Alesha Dixon confirmed today that there will be no Xenomania tracks on her new album. Speaking to her fans via a uStream webchat, Alesha said:
«There's not actually any Xenomania tracks on this album. We did most of the record out in the States, but there are tracks on there by a couple of British producers (...) I worked with Toby Gad and I've written with a lot of fantastic British writers. But no, this is quite interesting, for the first time there's no Xenomania tracks on the album.»
Back in March, Alesha revealed that she had teamed up with Xenomania once again. She said: «I've hooked up with Xenomania again and they're on fire. Some great tracks coming out of the studio». Miranda Cooper has also been in the studio with Alesha and Toby Gad.
Alesha has been working closely with Xenomania since the beginning of her solo career, most notably on "The Boy Does Nothing", which was a top 5 hit across Europe.
Alesha has been in the studio with Xenomania to work on her new album. She posted this message on AleshaDixon.net:
«What can I say, I’m so excited about album no.2! It’s going great! I’ve hooked up with xenomania again and they’re on fire. Some great tracks coming out of the studio and I’m fully focused on delivering a top notch album. Off to the states to work with A class producers too, will keep you posted.»
Besides Xenomania, Alesha is also working with Kuk (Rihanna's "Umbrella"), Wayne Hector (Pussycat Dolls' "I Hate This Part"), Naughty Boy (Chipmunk's "Diamond Rings") and Busbee and Alexander James (Alexandra Burke's "Bad Boys").
This will be Alesha's third album, following Fired Up and The Alesha Show. The new single is due out early summer.
Alesha Dixon's latest album will be re-released on November 23rd. The album, retitled The Alesha Show - The Encore, will include four brand new tracks. One of those is "The Light", produced by Xenomania. Have a listen to a clip of the song:
Vagabond are in the studio working on new material. They updated fans on MySpace: «We just wanted to tell you that we're going to be in the studio working on new material for a while. We're really excited about having new music for the new year and will keep you posted with video clips and tweets from the studio.»

Pet Shop Boys' Chris Lowe said in an interview that the reason the duo worked so well with Xenomania is because «there was such enthusiasm and such enjoyment of pop music»: «You don't meet that many people who are really into pop and the joy that you can get from listening to a great pop record — that euphoria, that shiny sound.»
In another interview, Chris also said that part of the pleasure of recording Yes was being part of the “whole pop experience” that is the Xenomania hit factory: «Girls Aloud were hanging around. You’d go into the sitting room and they’d all be there with their laptops. We had lunch with Alesha Dixon.» The experience reminded the Pet Shop Boys of the 1980s music scene, when they were pivotal figures in nightclubs, the Top of the Pops studio and European music festivals.
Alesha's album The Alesha Show has gone Platinum, which means it has sold 300,000 copies in total. It was only 6 months ago that the BPI certified the album Gold with 100,000 sales.
Alesha Dixon's official website announces that she is currently working on her new album along with pop production house Xenomania.
Alesha has previously worked with Xenomania. Their first collaboration was the 2006 single "Knockdown". Last year, Xenomania also contributed with eight songs for her second album The Alesha Show.
The official first single from the album, the Xenomania-produced "The Boy Does Nothing", became her first solo top ten hit on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 5 and spending over three months in the UK Top 40.
"The Boy Does Nothing" has also charted in other countries, reaching number 1 in Spain, number 2 in France, Finland, Hungary and Luxembourg; number 3 in Norway and Turkey and number 4 in the Czech Republic.
This week, The Alesha Show has reached a new peak in the UK albums chart, climbing to #11. The album entered the charts in November last year, at number 26, and then dropped off the top 75 chart after four weeks. It has been slowly climbing back up, and following the release of the single "Let's Get Excited", The Alesha Show rebounded to #11.
Girls Aloud's "Untouchable" was the big mover in the UK Top 20 Singles this week, climbing 27-11. It will most likely be the first Girls Aloud single to miss the top 10. The album Out of Control is back in top 40 (#33).
In the US, Pet Shop Boys' Yes entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums at #32, making it their highest-placed record since Very hit #20 in 1993.
Alesha's "The Boy Does Nothing" has been very successful all over Europe, peaking at #2 in the singles charts in both Finland and France.
This week, the album version of the new Girls Aloud single, "Untouchable", has entered the UK Top 40 singles chart at #36. The single will be released next Monday (April 27th).
The CD-single can now be pre-ordered through HMV. There will also be a limited 7'' vinyl picture disc (only 1091 copies have been issued), exclusively on HMV. Pre-order it now.
The new Pet Shop Boys album has entered the UK charts at #4, despite early sales speculation that it would top the charts. This is the highest entry for a Pet Shop Boys album since 1996, when Bilingual also entered at number 4. It has also sold more copies on its first week (27,639) than any Pet Shop Boys album since their sole number one album, Very, in 1993.
"Love etc." drops to number 27 in the UK singles chart and Girls Aloud's "Untouchable" has entered the top 100 at number 54 (even though it hasn't been released as a single yet).
