Alex Gardner is now set to release his debut single "I'm Not Mad" in March 2010, with an album following in the summer.
The Scottish singer/songwriter has been chosen as one of the Red Pages Hot 100 for 2010. The annual Red Pages Hot 100 predicts the new faces in the world of music, fashion, film, TV, politics, sport, art, society and media for 2010. Fellow Xenomania band NiteVisions are also included in the list.
The single "I'm Not Mad" is featured in this week's Music Week playlist. They say: «The Xenomania influence is not hard to spot on Gardner's radio friendly debut as a synth led production provides the backdrop to Gardner's distinct voice.»
Alex Gardner was recruited by Xenomania and after 12 months of writing songs together, he signed a worldwide record deal with Universal/A&M Records. This year he completed a tour with fellow Scott Paolo Nutini and already has a series of live shows lined up for 2010 - see the dates here.
